So I ordered some new batteries yesterday- 2x 12v 18Ah batteries, totaling to about $100 with shipping. I have made some money this summer and decided that it was time. They should be here by next week or so, I will post an update then.

My go kart works again! I finally got around to installing the new (40A) circuit breaker and now it runs great. Except the batteries don't last very long, so some new ones will be my next big investment.

Well, I was in California with my family, visiting some friends and having Thanksgiving there, and I went to this awesome little electronics store, Electronics Plus. They have everything there! It's really cool. If you're into that kind of stuff, I highly recommend checking that store out next time you might be in the San Francisco bay area. Anyway, from them, I bought another new circuit breaker, because my other one kept popping. My new one is 4o amps instead of 3o amps. So *hopefully* it will work better then the last one. It was also only about $8+tax to buy, so its not like it was a huge investment. I have yet to install it however, but I'll keep you posted.
Had an awesome Halloween, drove my go kart around in the street parade and then rigged up a fog machine with a DIY chiller to create awesome, thick fog, along with a stroke light.
My go kart is now fixed!!!! I went to Ace Hardware (an awesome store) and bought some new bolts for the wheel, and they worked like a charm. Only 1 out of 3 of the bolt holes was actually broken, and a long screw still screwed into it. It now runs again! The lawnmower batteries are running it now, and I hope to buy some new batteries soon to improve the speed. The pictures show the broken bolt hole. (sorry for the blurriness)
